1. Who we are
Truckers Legacy Life ("we", "us", "our") helps commercial drivers find life insurance coverage. This policy explains what we do with the information you give us through this website, through our advertisements on social media platforms, and when you speak with us.
This policy applies to truckerlegacylife.com and to the lead forms we run on advertising platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
2. What we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Contact information | Your name, phone number, email address, and the state you live in. |
| Information you tell us | Whether you are a company driver, owner-operator or fleet owner; how long you have been driving; your age range; whether you use tobacco; general health information you choose to share; whether you already have coverage; how much coverage you are interested in; and what you can comfortably budget. |
| Device and usage information | IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how you arrived at our site, and which advertisement you came from. |
| Communications | Notes from calls, texts and emails between you and our agents. |
Some of what you share — for example, tobacco use or a health condition — is sensitive information. We ask for it only because insurance carriers require it to determine what coverage you qualify for, and we use it only for that purpose.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, driver's license number, bank account or payment card details through this website or through any advertising form. Please do not send those to us here.
3. How we collect it
- Directly from you — when you complete the questionnaire on this site, submit a form in one of our advertisements, call us, or reply to a text or email.
- Automatically — through cookies and similar technologies when you visit this site.
- From advertising platforms — when you submit a form inside Facebook or Instagram, that platform passes us the information you provided and details about the advertisement you responded to.
4. How we use it
- To contact you about life insurance coverage, and to answer what you asked us.
- To match you with a licensed insurance agent, and to help that agent prepare accurate quotes.
- To send you the guides, checklists and educational material you requested.
- To follow up with you over time about coverage, until you tell us to stop.
- To improve our website, our advertising and our service.
- To meet our legal, regulatory and recordkeeping obligations.
6. Calls, texts and email
When you give us your phone number and submit a form, you agree that we and the licensed agents we work with may contact you at that number about insurance — including by automatic telephone dialing system, artificial or prerecorded voice, and text message — even if that number is on a Do Not Call registry.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to automated calls or texts in order to buy insurance from us. You can ask us to contact you a different way, or not at all.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message from us. For help, reply HELP. To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. To stop calls, tell the agent on the phone or contact us using section 14.
Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality and training. If a call will be recorded, you will be told at the start of the call.
7. Advertising and analytics
We advertise on platforms including Facebook and Instagram, and we use their measurement tools — such as the Meta Pixel — on this site. These tools tell us how our advertisements perform: how many people visited, and which advertisement brought them here.
To measure results, we may share a limited, encrypted version of your contact information with those platforms so they can confirm whether an advertisement led to a form submission. The platforms are not permitted to use that information to build profiles for their own purposes beyond what our agreements with them allow.
You can control how these platforms use your information in your account settings on each platform, and you can opt out of many interest-based advertising practices at optout.aboutads.info.
9. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep.
- Stop contacting you, by phone, text, email, or entirely.
Depending on your state, you may have additional rights — including the right to know what personal information we collect and share, the right to opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly defined.
To exercise any of these, contact us using section 14. We will not treat you differently for asking.
10. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we are working with you, and afterwards for as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes and to meet insurance recordkeeping and legal requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear on the site.
